I read it and was not impressed at all. This "cult of personality" idea is just b.s. The main reason people were so excited about Obama was that there was a great sense of relief (a) to be making a break from the Bush/Cheney regime, and (b) to be able to avoid the horror of McCain/Palin. Subsequently disenchantment with Obama has grown as people have come to the realization that he isn't so different from Bush after all. Conservatives like Cohen should be pleased that Obama has turned out to be a status quo politician, located on the centre-right of the spectrum. He probably is secretly pleased, but for political reasons he continues to pretend that Obama is another Chavez or Castro. Not to be taken seriously.
