LOL....the guy loves animals. That has nothing, nothing, to do with his views on free trade and his conservative credentials on budgeting. As Frum points out, we will only get someone far worse philosophically. By the way, his views on animal rights have nothing, nothing to do with his government post. He would not be near policy in such areas.... The guy is not a "lefty loon" as you would catagorize him. Read his policy work on economics and budgets....if you have the time.
