This lecture is really good. Now that so much corn is going into ethanol maybe high fructose corn syrup can be banned.

This is sure going to get me to read the labels more carefully. Should be required for high school students to see this.

That is a really outstanding lecture by Robert H. Lustig, MD, UCSF Professor of Pediatrics. Thank you for posting it!

I just had time to watch it. He does a good job of explaining the biochemistry of Fructose.

We buy nothing with added fructose/high fructose corn syrup - and it's added to nearly everything.

This is impossible to control when you eat out a lot. When we began eating at home instead of dining out almost every meal at nice restaurants, over the next three months we both lost 20 pounds. We also use little sugar in our cooking.
