The European systems are mellowing in that regard even now.

From my perspective, the path we are on is towards the failed system that pragmatism is now correcting in other countries. We have a President who is sly about it, yet is a communist with idealistic goals of transforming the US into a marxist / socialist system that would soon result in its collapse.

It seems we agreed back then as now.

You were questioning my assertion that a government takeover of the healthcare system would result in systematic decisions to make healthcare unavailable for certain groups such as the elderly.

You were challenging most vehemently that abuses by individuals would be a problem. This despite the fact that Clinton targeted his political opponents with abusive IRS investigations. Team Obama has engaged in the same kind of abusive targeting.

(Rahm Emmanuel has a long history of such behaviors.)

That was weird then and it's no less weird now.

Weird, yet based on the behavior of our current President and on the actual behavior of the Clinton Whitehouse.
