Taro,
I think you need to explain it in simpler terms. Koan can not understand it unless he asks his son to translate.

That boiling the planet remark was a remarkably stupid thing for a physicist to say, if it was genuine.

"Still, even he cannot change the fact, that so far all data on hand on atmosphere CO2 content and the corresponding warming periods show, that the former is tracking the latter -"

As has been pointed out before, there were soooo many examples in the past of creatures exploiting carbon sinks and greatly increasing the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere in the past...

I will say Taro, at least you post with a civilized demenaor which is very much appreciated.

I do not think that is right. The earth is in its normal 22,000 year cooling cycle based on the axis of the earth to the sun i.e. every 22,000 years the axis changes and we have cycles of 22,000 years of warming and 22,000 years of cooling.

Despite our being in a natural cooling trend right now, the arctic is the warmest it has been in 2,000 years.

We were able ot navigate the northwest passage for the first time in centruies in 07/08/09.

I live in Alaska and we can see the spruce moving up the mountains with the warming trend and flora and fauna all moving north. Pack ice and fish have moved north by about 500 miles.

I spent a lot of time on the north slope and the ice used to always come in. Not any more. And trees are growing on the north slope now.

The connection with warming of the planet and raised CO2 levels is well known.
