In a battle of wits, you are totally unarmed. Try to educate yourself before you try arguing an issue with someone who has greater knowledge. It won't stop you from looking like a fool, that, I am afraid is your lot in life, but you won't look so stone cold stupid..

Ha! You fool you said that methane clathrate was formed by bacteria. You quote a piece that says some of the methane was created from microbial sources. So WHAT! Everybody knows that bugs in shit make methane. That has nothing to so with methane clathrate or hydrate forming from bacteria. In fact it is common for it to form in high pressure gas lines when there is water moisture in the system. It only requires that methane and water be disolved under pressure.

And if you bothered to read further down you will see that methane hydrate also forms underground in clay soil. So you see you were also wrong that it does not form in permafrost. There is even more pressure in the bottom of a permafrost swamp than under many oceans.

Only idiots claim they are superior when faced with true facts to the contrary!
