Beats me. Perhaps it's job related, family related but due to your progressive liberal ways I don't know how you can stand it. Either you're a hypocrite or you should high tail it to a blue stae, preferably an urban area, ASAP. Or maybe you don't really like crime, high taxes, bubble prices and government intrusion after all.
