btw, without the pound QE the dollar would be easily at your levels.

Perhaps, what the pound can not contribute to the DX is easily matched by the EUR and yen.

I just looked at it and it is by far the weakest currency now. In the last 3 months, it actually sank a little vs the dollar. Last year it traded at 2 when the EUR was 1.44

Any guesses for the Fed meeting next week?
