Obviously you don't know much about politics and how it works. Politicians almost never admit mistakes. If they do, who cares? the money has already been spent. The goal of the gov't is to increase debt so GS and the other primary dealers keep getting richer at the taxpayers expense. How that debt is increased matters little to the controllers. Social programs and war are both black holes without any redeeming value to most people. Look at the interest we're paying.
