Mohan...Good post...Undoubtedly the rapid dissemination of information is leveling the playing field as you said. The individuals are the ones with the collective financial wealth and are now taking greater control of that wealth. They can no longer be duped by the so called "experts".

Mohan,

Maybe the analysts are correct this time. INTC is a great company which will probably attain even higher highs in the future. However, no amount of cheerleading now is going to make the market value INTC at $100. All that the market sees now is a company with two quarters of declining earnings and no immediate prospects for a major turnaround.

We have all guessed at what will turn this stock around, but until one of these things happen, INTC will vascillate around its current price at best. What if Xmas is a bust? We could see INTC in the high 50s or 60s at least briefly. As much as we hate to admit it, Kurlak was right about 3Q earnings and the near-term trend. Why fight the truth?

INTC longs are going to have to accept that we will not see much improvement this year and that the financial rewards will be for those who have the patience to withstand a year of stagnation.

As for CPQ and DELL, their time of stagnation will also come. They are inflated with a long way to fall if PC sales flatten out. However, for the moment, they at least have EPS growth, unlike INTC.
