How long will it be before they give up their cradle to grave health care and leave millions of people without any health care? Do you think that is what Merkel has in mind?

The problem with such social programs is there really isn't a good way to end them.

They will literally break the country before you can get rid of them. Look at America's Medicare program today. $36.4 Trillion in the hole after 45 years, yet still politically untouchable.

That said, these countries STILL want socialism. They just can't pay for it. So, they have looked at Reagan's model of supply side economics and determined it may be the only way to raise enough capital.

So, what do they do? Merkel cuts corporate tax rates massively. Sweden gets rid of its freaking death tax! Imagine that!

There is a method to the madness. If you're going to feed the socialism you're going to have to come up with the money from somewhere. So, you grab America's Hollywood Leftwingers and make it easy for them.

Not a bad plan, actually.
