He was doing fine up 'til there. The way to provide choice is to decouple health insurance from employment and let everyone do their own thing. True. But that ain't gunna happen. Just try to take away people's 'free employee benefit' health insurance and you WILL see a revolution. However... the employer gives all those folks vouchers good on a national exchange where they can pick their own program and at least you are bringing the end user and the seller together for a rational consumer exchange. Be even better if the employee could pocket whatever he didn't spend.
