OT: Stock Puppy: yes, those are all good suggestions... I've actually done as much as I can with the ergonomics -- something I've been very aware of after a close call with carpal tunnel in 1990... got everything adjusted as it should be, but the fact is that reading text on this monitor is very hard to begin with (compared to better monitors) and as the day progresses, if I find myself leaning in, I increase the magnification -- of course then I get less productive as we in publishing really need to see at least a full page a actual size -- facing pages even better. A better (and bigger) monitor would be the last piece of the puzzle to optimize my ergonomics as well as my productivity. For some reason, I'm having a hard time selling that... perhaps because I am one the only person in the company that does this type of work -- 95% of our people are engineers/techs of various types and don't do the types of things I do. Annual review coming up, so I'll bring it up again and keep trying... the new boss has a 2-monitor setup and a former mac user, so maybe a better outcome this time. Jim
