Mark, >>I can't believe the complacency of the "talking heads" they trot out on TV.

I don't trust these guys, never have. My first thoughts are; this guy is trying to get me to buy so he/she can get out.:-)

>>Actually, a few are taking a semi-cautious stance.

I liked Martin Biggs when he came back from Asia last week..he said it is a mess and for certain will cause a recession in the area and that could spread. Now, this guy is straight up and tells it like he sees it. He did say one good thing..the traffic was not a problem anymore.:-)

With regard to the "talking heads"--I was remembering a (not too clever) story.

Once upon a time a world-famous violinist was giving a concert in one of the great capitals of Europe. The concert hall was packed. In the middle of the performance wisps of smoke began to pour out from under the platform. A murmur of "fire" began to spread through the audience and some people got up and began making their way to the exits. The violinist stopped the performance and addressed the audience. "Dear people, dear people, do not be afraid. Everything is under control. Please settle back into your seats and I will try to reward your patience." So everyone calmed down, the violinist resumed playing with a vigor and beauty never heard before, the flames rose higher and higher, and he and the entire audience were burnt to a crisp.
