<China's a ticking time bomb for ecological disaster>

I completely agree -- but now push your thoughts to the next level. The Chinese can die in an ecospasm or they can get extremely serious about achieving ecological viability.

The jury is obviously still out concerning the future, although so far the evidence is overwhelming in terms of pollution of all kinds. What you might not know is that the Chinese leaders take the environment very seriously -- what choice do they have?

We, in America, pay lip service to the environment until some scare mongering idiot says the science lies and it will cost us money -- then we dither. The smartest among us embrace the environment as a central issue and an opportunity for stunning innovation and wealth creation. The majority however still view it as a pain in the ass foisted on us by euro-commies. Go to the pump and look at what we pay for gas -- America can't take the environment seriously -- China can't avoid taking it seriously.

The idiots in America still proudly display their ignorance -- "global warming is a hoax". The environment is the prime example of where we could lead but fail to even show, the exception being some very bright people who are at odds with the majority.
