Yeah.. it really begs the question as to who is profiting from all of that excess milk. Let's face it, the only way dairymen can cut production is by killing their cows. Other than that, they have to milk them twice a day.

So it seems to me that the creameries are taking extreme advantage of this fact, yet keeping the prices inordinately high via futures contracts at the retail level.

It really begs investigation when "market forces" that are driving raw milk prices to under $1/gallon don't seem to have the same effect on retail milk prices.

Retail prices have to come down to increase demand for the product.
