The best defense you can give your children is a strong mind. There are things which can, and need to be understood, that many do not understand. Like science and political systems and economics. The Japanese understand this concept cold. 120 million people living on two big rocks and firebombed into the stone age during WWII, and speaking a very foreign language and isolated, became the second largest economy on earth within 30 years, by becoming the most educated people on earth. One of my professor friends once said: "every time I see a Japanese kid come into the class I know that is goign to be an A. We just had a president who bragged about being a C student. How do we take on the Chinese with that attitude. Only a fool would take that tactic. Do people think Sun TZu would have been a C student? He was the master. Chinese met Dr. Steven Chu nobel winner in physics, and our energy secretary, like a rock star. In this country half the peoepl think he is a jerk-lol. Bush appointed a dentist to that position. We need to educate our kids. Only 23% of the kids in Oaklahoma know who our first president is. The Chinese, Japanese, Asian Tigers and South Korea are going to tear us a new asshoe if we don't.
