Never been to an Apple store and as an investor suppose I should check it out anyway.

I would suggest that you use the stores web site on apple.com to set up a genius appointment before you go. That way you won't have to wait in line for hours to see a Genius.

Be nice, don't let them blow you off and play dumb if they ask you about Applecare. Hope they fix the thing or just replace it on the spot.

I have been going to the Apple stores for years and have had positive experiences probably in the 95% range. I know you will enjoy seeing all the goodies and hope that you have success in solving your i-Phone issues.
