Thanks Meathead - Guess I was mistaken, I must have been thinking about articles I read some time ago where your previous governor was making some noises about having to institute a tax, maybe it was something to do with putting more money into the educational system.

Any truth in rumor about DELL?

Yesterday there was a rumor that DELL was calling the analysts to lower their expectation. Now we know better if there was any truth in it based on today's events:

1. Salomon today upgraded DELL and CPQ to buy. If the rumor was true, will Salomon upgrade? Doubt it unless Salomon's analyst just missed the call from DELL.

2. Merril L reiterated DELL and CPQ buy. Did ML's analyst also missed the call?

3. Alex Brown downgraded both DELL and CPQ. If DELL made the call, I would expect the downgrade on DELL much bigger than CPQ since CPQ just had a strong quarter.

4. If DELL really made the call, you will see a herd of analysts downgrading DELL. It didn't happen today.

Given these fact, I cannot believe there was any truth in the rumor.
