To you and me, it is. To an 85 year old who is fervently religious and raised on the Bible, it isn't and it isn't ever going to be. But it isn't your job or mine to "educate" these people or coerce them into our beliefs.

Of course it does. This is why it is such a fundamental debate, just as abortion is.

No, GW isn't a defensible issue at this point. I don't know if it exists or not, and AFAIK, nobody else on the planet does, either. Simply put, there isn't enough data available to make any determination. If you take all the data from the last 200 years it isn't a drop in the bucket.

What we do know is that the planet is remarkably resilient and that there are people (e.g., Al Gore) who will capitalize on the issue if possible, and are thus motivated to persuade others that it is a real problem when, in fact, we just don't know if it is or isn't. At any rate, it isn't an important subject to me because it is not particularly relevant in the coming couple hundreds years.
