Tom:

----->I have made a lot of mistakes especially in the early days when I became active in the markets--I wish there were an SI at that time so that I could have learned from the more experienced traders.

Amen, brother, Amen.

Keep on with your superior posting and feel free to give what you consider an unsolicited opinion.

If it would alleviate some of your mixed feelings about chunking your thoughts out to us, address the post to me,

Start off with the salutation similar to -------"Ok ol dummy Nemer, how many times do I have to explain this to you............"
or anything similar........ggggggg

Please consider this a solicitation for your posts, so there can be no unsolicited ones from you.

Folks on line really have no idea the value that S I can and should play in their education on the market.
We can all learn together.

Regards----Nemer

Hi Tom, from an earlier post >>Not sure what method/system you are using but IMO it is very difficult to day trade successfully without using some kind of system to let you when to enter and when to exit. Otherwise, you'll find that your emotions take over.<<

Isn't that the truth. I got spooked out of my CPQ Nov65p for 4 1/4 this AM for a measly $130 profit (at the low of the day). Missed out on another $1k - I was going to sell them at the open (would have gotten 6), but heard the tech downgrades this AM and decided that the gap would likely hold as resistance. When I saw CPQ at 64, I scrambled to sell, and I have to say that was one of the fastest confirmations I ever had.

>>I tend to have mixed feelings about these advisory posts especially when it is an unsolicited opinion.<<

I agree with Nemer, David, and others that you shouldn't have these mixed feelings. I always look forward to your market insights - keep 'em coming. I just wish I could post more.

>>I think that this recent down-turn has been devastating to a lot of smaller traders. The same thing happened in the summer of 1996.<<

I agree with you. I was devastated early on in this downturn as I was early last summer.

Take care Tom and thanks again,
kw.

Tom,

I would also like to compliment you on your insightful posts and great advise. You, Kevin, OJ and other experienced traders on this thread do a superb job educating others and sharing info.

Just got done catching up to 3 days of posts on the Idea and TSO threads, your advise to Bart was exemplary. I kept away from SI the past few days to cut down the noise and irrational exhuberance and make rational trading decisions. The excessive bullishness on the Idea thread and the rampant bearishness on the Kahuna thread doesn't help one make rational trading decisions.

I agree with your analysis on market movement in the short term (see my post to Donald Sew). Been trading the OEX and TBR intraday to eke out small gains; otherwise mostly sitting in cash.

Regards,
Taqi
