not if you are expecting it....

but it is if you are not expecting it... (which is the problem with any car that has 'ground effects' aerodynamics built in...)

because for the ground effect to be working at all times certain quantity and direction of air flow must be 'at work'

remove that... and you saw what happened to that GT-1

so the cars of the 60's had very rudimentary aerodynamics... (no ground effects)

ground effects started circa 1966 in sports cars (group 7) with jim chaparral... soon they outlawed his invention as he was simply sweeping away with every race in sight... so the ground effects have come and go as the FIA official feel like it...
