I regret to post that my brother-in-law, Donald Masters, has been found at a crash site on US-93 at milepost 322.1 between Salmon and North Fork, ID. Idaho State Patrol reports the curve he went off was a particularly treacherous curve where numerous cars and motorcycles have gone off the road. He was found this morning by 3 Elk hunters from Salmon, ID.

If Bosnia -- situated in placid and prosperous Europe; recipient of abundant aid and attention from the United States, the European Union, NATO and the United Nations -- is so resistant to nation-building, what are sensible expectations for a similar project in remote, mountainous, tribal Afghanistan?

He's got a very good point in his rhetorical question.
