Tim, you seem to be "assuming" that the people that would TAKE your privacy would also AGREE with all the choices you might make.

No, not really.

1 - They could disagree, but not do anything to force me to limit my actions to those they agree with.

2 - I'm not really assuming anything here. If the disagree, and they try to limit my actions based on that, then they I am facing a threat to BOTH my privacy and my freedom. The threats are closely related and maybe from the same source, but they are two different types of threats.

I didn't say privacy issues have no impact on freedom issues, just that they are two different types of issues. One type of issue impacting on another type of issue is rather common.
