I have a picture of my mother and her team-----she has her headband on with team name------she could shoot a basket as well as my brothers.

I learned to dunk a ball but it wasn't my thing---fun for exercise but not what I was interested in.

Did teach my younger brother to pitch a baseball----or softball. That was fun.

Many high schools still have intra women's teams that don't travel to play but play within the school----i.e. Freshman vs. Sophomores (class teams)------and some have traveling women's teams.

If you are in an area where your children or grandchildren are not getting these chances, then lobby the schools and school boards.

Can't stay with this today-------have a lot of projects going.

Have a good day------global cooling here today and beautiful.

My Mother, who is also on this website, played competitive volleyball in high school and was briefly on the olympic ski team.

volleyball in the 50s and olympic ski team in the early 60s. Do those count as sports?
