That deal from T could be the first of many similiar. WCII could be on the list for other geographical areas.

I know there's the conference call today. For some reason, I had Nov 12 for earnings ??

I read that deal with MacLeod as a positive. It was an indication that AT&T is getting a clue as to how to get into the local markets. They need to sign deals with facilities-based CLEC's. MacLeod is in lower-tier locations, whereas WinStar is in the first-tier locations (not actively in all of them yet, but has licensing for top 50). Now that AT&T is getting new management, it isn't inconceivable that negotiations with WinStar could get restarted. I can't imagine that people are driving the price up right in advance of earning unless they already know what the numbers are. Given the state of the market right now, though, I guess anything is possible.
