Yep D you are making the same points I made when oil was soaring but the manufacturing was being sucked out of Ontario and Quebec like a bad root canal.. but few wanted to hear when their loonie investments were soaring against the USD providing solid gains on currency appreciation alone.. That the job benefits of the resource industry were not enough to compensate..

I repeatedly heard about balanced Canadian budgets and resource wealth.. I explained how the budget federal budget was balanced by raping the provinces who in turn raped the municipalities.. (we call it 'downloading' :O)

Well the Provinces are still largely in a bad way and the Feds are running a huge deficit already.. Let the good times roll :O)
