you really have to wonder who exactly those "officals" were that were quoted in regard to getting a volume discount on gold.

gold is neither semi-conductor or potato chips... higher volumes do not mean a gold producer/owner can or will offer volume discounts.

(only the British, during the worst possible market conditions in 2001, could devise an auction plan that actually received less than FMV, and that was likely to bail out the bullion banks)
