Do you think the government should privatize the industry and build their own? Of course not. That's what France did. And it works. 80% clean nuke power, a model for the world. And it would work better in America. But for the fact that our government felt the need to over-regulate the industry which killed it. like so many others (the Internet). It is really overstating the case to claim that the government "invented" the Internet. It isn't as if our government was responsible for packet-switching or TCP. The Internet as we know it today was NOT a government invention and frankly, would have probably happened with or without the government And certainly with or without Al Gore.
