sec clinton in interview yesterday supports not following McChrystal with statement that many in pentagon disagree with his findings. sounds like they are setting the general up for the fall. she used other conflicting studies to delay troops and support obama. Here is a hypothetical for you and the thread: Talk is that Obama has requested Paterson to NOT run for reelection as N.Y. governor due to his negatives to help bring in other dem candidates in next year's voting. H. Clinton supports Obama and opposes a troop increase in 'stan and tells Obama she wants the N.Y. governor job. He sees a chance to put in place his personal choice for Secretary of State. He supports her request. Now she will finally be her own boss - no Bill clinton, no Obama. His next move is to push out Gates and put in one of his pacifist buddies. Gates may be ready to go given the lack of WH support on the AP and the slain Marine etc. With a new DOD head, gays will have an opportunity to once more open their issue with the military. Candidates from the senate? John Kerry would jump for either job while begging for State. MA is safe for a dem replacement for Kerry. Another possibility is Webb from VA. Candidates within State? There are plenty of liberal thinkers sitting and waiting. What do you think???
