It is my understanding that the shares would be deducted and if you request return, you would get a new cert for the adjusted amount.

You send that certificate to your broker. He debits the amount from the cert, and the old certificate is sent back to the TA for a new one, or you can place the remainder back into you account.

Those with these questions should contact their brokers, NOW!

Demand those certificates......
