Southern California is on fire again. This time in horse country and this time with the dreaded Santa Ana winds blowing. The news helicopters are showing all the animals.

So sad to see the horses panicking. The ones out in the fields are running this way and that not knowing which way to go. The ones in corrals are rearing and looking for a way out.

I'm sure the owners will get to them but you can see how scared they are even from the air.

That did bring tears to my eyes....Beautiful story! Especially the two gulls and the rings of leis...Rings joined mean joined forever.

The thing I forgot to add to my story was probably most important..My husband had spent his entire childhood in the Adirondacks in that area, and had NEVER seen Canadian geese in the area.....it was truly amazing to see them fly in formation minus the leader directly over our head.

The minister who did the funeral service was his Minister and friend, and was also the head of the Lake Placid Olympic Committee for the coming LP Olympics....
