The reality is that China has to do something, because the cheap oil is gone and they'll run out of coal. I'm just reacting to the Chinese statement, which seems like pure political BS. I think the UN Euro-greenies egged them on to say this now, as a way of pressuring the US on climate change. In the short term, China could stop trying to gobble up so much of the world's manufacturing capacity. If we really want to deal with the carbon issue, we've got to manufacture more stuff regionally and quit burning up so much energy shipping stuff around the globe.
