Jim, may I take it that you agree with me that there is no evidence yet of a pricing war (insofar as Dell's product mix is concerned)? Also, unless I got my numbers backwards (always a possibility), I show a small increase in Compaq's COGS (about 2%). Finally, if CPQ is going to slug it out with HP and Packard Bell for the low end of the market isn't it reasonable to believe that CPQ's ASP will decrease (I assume that cheap PC's will represent a substantial per cent of units sold)?
Regards,

Paul

Jim, the next two day will be real hard on me. The Dell horror show during the day and horror movie marathons at night.

I expact it will be weeks before I can sleep normally again.

Long live the monsters, Pat
