I agree, but the problem is the various Argentine governments.

Living in Argentina, you are screwed every way - terrorists, the dirty war with people disappearing, frequent currency crisis, export taxes on your agricultural products, the government grab of people's savings that TJ mentioned, and now very high crime rates, high unemployment.

So the mining people can hand over the money, but it won't get anywhere near the people who are affected by the mine.
