There really ISN'T an answer. If we had a government that wasn't based on the latest opinion polls and "jockeying for position" by politicians we could actually come to some HARD decisions. We have to say that if you have difficulty walking we can't just BUY you a motorized wheel chair. We have to say to people that if you have cancer we CAN'T just use tax payer money to PAY $300K for treatments that probably won't get you more than a year of extra life anyway. If THAT's "death panels" then I'm all for them. We have to tell the DOD and Congressmen and Senators that spending 10X the total of the next 20 nations isn't POSSIBLE anymore just because you want to keep 800 people employed in a district that gets you votes. The ONLY ANSWER is telling our politicians that we DON'T WANT DEBT. They have to start paying for what they spend. If we get THAT message across the REST will follow.
