Yes, we can agree on that.

Another thing I'd like to see changed is how people's damages are "judged" according to their "income".

Let's say a derivatives trader making $10 million a year is killed and a science lab worker (in a lab working on cancer cures) making $50k a year is killed in an accident in exactly the same circumstances.

The derivatives traders family is going to get the BIG BUCKS and the lab worker's family is gonna get much much less because of the difference in "future economic losses".

There's something about that that I don't like.
