I agree Joe. The proper thing to do would have been to allow the Auto makers and tangential businesses to go through traditional bankruptcy. After that the new companies could have been stronger. The bow and service to the unions was disgusting.

Aid to the auto makers could have been given to the emerging companies.

Oh bummer! The Unions would have been the big losers. The new owners, the bond holders, would not have been required to adhere to the labor contracts.
