Update on my health issues. I was scheduled this morning for a stress test. I had, however, been having symptoms suggestive of a blood clot in my left leg. Dr. said no stress test until we ruled that out. I went in this morning for an ultrasound and found that I have a large clot in a major vein. The doctor thinks the episode I had last Thursday (fainting) and through he weekend (extreme shortness of breath)was due to throwing part of the clot off to the lungs. Stress test is on hold, and I'm on injected blood thinners for 5 days and then tablet form for 6 months. Home at the moment, until the injection kicks in and the chance of throwing off another clot go down substantially. All things considered, I'd rather have this problem than an issue with damage to the heart that potentially would severely limit my ability to be active.
