Sounds good. I like it. But I don't think we want to force any reference to God on everyone, do you? But it you want to accept it as a set of life principles, great. But not everyone might agree with every tenent...and they could still be good people, right? I am sure Number 5 about being responsible under the law is appreciated by Scooter Libby and Cheney. After all, conviction is conviction, so Cheney should have left GWB alone on that pardoning buisness. Also, if people are convicted of crimes we disagree with on moral or ethical grounds (like torture), then we need to respoect the rule of law,if they are convicted, but we can still speak out and let our voices be heard..sounds good. Number One is kind of vague. How do you define "good"? Ice Cream is good too. I tend to avoid black and white definitions. Too simplistic. Is all America "good". Even Obama? Or Barney Frank? Or Hillary Clinton? Or is America the amorphous 260,000,000 pot of people, ideas and concepts. Slavery was part of America. Was it "good"? Or is it only the law as it now stands? So Abortion is "good"? Those kind of simplistic statements works better with some people who don't see gray. But hey....Glenn's got something here. I am sure he is selling coffee mugs and making money off it. I'm in. Sign me up.
