Can’t you bring yourself to understand that there is a significant difference between collateral damage attributed to a military strike at a military target and an Islamic terrorist attack that specifically targets non-combatants? Do you understand there is a difference between targeting terrorist personnel in conference and targeting preteen boys and girls attending school?

Incinerating thousands of Japanese citizens at Nagasaki and Hiroshima was a tragic loss of innocent lives. Yes it can be justly argued that it saved the lives of US and Japanese combatants, plus the associated collateral death arising from more traditional warfare.

I can't help but consider the nuclear tragedy in comparison to Japan's "Rape of Nan King (Nanjing)" to which the loss of innocent life pales.

Yes I've heard of the civil war. Your point is…
