I'll bet you every single one of them has a weapon. If they're not fighting, we're paying a helluva lot of money for cooks and truck drivers

A Blackwater friend said those Haliburton guys put on really good meals for the troops and they don't carry guns.

And why do we have more mercenaries than regular troops???

Because a contractor can do the work cheaper and free up GI Joe for combat.

First of all we don't have any "mercenaries"....but as to those private contractors who do not carry weapons.....the reason we have so many more that troops has to do with the "tooth to tail" ratio.....

There are multiple reasons. One you may not have thought of, however, is political. Obama can give speeches about reducing troop deployments while increasing the actual number of boots on the ground. Sometimes with disastrous results ...

Why "Guards Gone Wild" are a symptom of a much bigger challenge for policymakers...
