Remember, two wrongs don't make a right; it requires three or more. I probably should find it hard to believe some of these folks are as senile as they appear to be, but somehow I don't. Two things that are clear is that the Semitic religions ( all of them, not just Judaism ) are a curse on humanity at this time in human history, and that the trajectory of progress in the western world has been away from them for several hundred years. The real problem with this stuff is that it gets drilled into people's heads when they are vulnerable children, something quite like exploiting the sensitive period for language acquisition; it's the sensitive period for hokum acquisition. After that shaking it off can be a painful effort, and the ones that do often carry it around for life like some sort of post-traumatic stress. Any propagandist or tyrant has to admire the way a little guilt bomb gets planted that makes people who have strayed from the myths to later return to the scene of the crime and subject their own children to such ritual abuse. I'm second generation hoodoo-voodoo free as is my wife, and we made sure our kids were exposed to the topic in a way that also made them understand the concept of intersubjective verifiability and how reasonable people can differ. BTW, great day in the market here, I got a little busy near the close so I'm still catching up a bit. Can't we all just play a zero-sum game? ;-)
