Man, that's freaky.

I'd heard commercial real estate was the next to go, but the damage issue adds another layer of icing.

In the thirties, they'd plow crops under to keep prices up. Today, we'll be plowing buildings, but it won't help the prices all that much.

After reading several similar articles about the dire future of commercial real estate, I put some cash into SRS. Big mistake! I got out with a loss, but it has fallen much further subsequently. Surely at some point shorting real estate will be a smart move.
