I don't see how that jibes with the intention of covering unemployed citizens and legal residents. Surely the unemployed can't pay for the "public option" without subsidies, right? Sorry...i thought you had asked about illegals...what's that got to do with legals and legal unemployed? But I think it's a mute point...these folks are unlikely to come forward for a medicare like insurance plan for fear of deportation, lest their status is clarified and solved...and frankly it's likely that many would not be able to afford it anyway... Al
