How much have we spent on Star Wars and how much more will we spend.....for what reason???? To guard against the Taliban?????

You fool. There are missile defense systems all over the place now that had their roots in SDI.

SDI derivatives are essential for our defense against future weapons systems that WILL be created by NK and Iran. Missile defense is probably the most important tool we have to insure against attacks by these fanatics, since they absolutely CANNOT be sure they WON'T work.

From the day Reagan first announced SDI, the idiocy of opposing it was obvious. I cannot imagine why you so-called "liberals" are so opposed to peace-making weapons.

It is the same idiocy that led to a nuclear arms race that only Reagan's strength could end.

You people just never learn.

Whatever we spend on missile defense it will be less than the damage a nuclear missile hitting our homeland would do.

A better question would be why don't liberals think defending America is a good thing?
