In defense of duckwits: A duck walks into a pub and says to the bartender, “Got any bread?” The bartender politely replies and tells the duck no, because it’s a pub, they only serve alcohol. The duck is quiet for a couple of minutes then asks again,”Got any bread?” The bartender replies again by politely saying no, it’s a pub… they serve only alcohol. Two minutes later the duck asks again, and the frustrated bartender angrily replies, “No we don’t, now please don’t ask again!” The duck sits silently and two minutes later he asks the very same question again. The bartender, furious at this point, says, “No we don’t… now don’t ask again or I’ll nail your beak to the bar!” The duck waits a couple of seconds before asking, “Got any nails?” The now puzzled bartender says no. The duck then says, “Got any bread?”
