I don't know the incidentals but the FED has collateralized mortgage backed securities aka toxic assets in return for cash from the funds.
Perhaps that won't take them off the FED'S books but it makes for interesting collateral and even more interesting motivational aspects considering they had tons of Treasuries to submit.
