GB, i deal in the details of reality on a daily basis, too, so i know where you are coming from. it is likely why we aren't as fooled into believing they hype. like you, i don't say that CO2 doesn't have an impact on climate. i claim we don't know how much and we don't have a grasp on the system complexities.

as crichton pointed out, we do know that children are dying at an astounding rate right now.

if the people who have done little to change their lives to help the environment would stop lecturing everyone else to change their lives and start supporting charitable organizations like "children of the nations," the world would factually be a better place. heck, even people that have changed their lives to help the preserve the environment can support children of the nations.
