The fact is there are more than 47 million people uninsured at any one time (people switching or losing jobs etc).

Even Obama has finally backed off that number to some extent. Dredging it up at this point let alone hyping it further is beyond the pale.

"Foolish" breakdown? What's foolish about the facts?

It is foolish to delude oneself into believing numbers that have been designed to mislead.

I think this remark really tells the thread where you're coming from. You aren't here to discuss the situation in realistic terms; your goal is to see confused, conflated arguments persist until government has a larger role in American health care and so those evil insurance companies, drug companies, filthy-rich doctors and hospitals are taken down a notch or two.

Isn't that about right?
